Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped oregano, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix until well combined and set aside.
- Pat the New York strip steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with smoked sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust forms.
- Once the steaks are seared, remove them from heat. Evenly distribute the garlic and oregano mixture over the top of each steak, pressing down gently to adhere.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 6-8 minutes for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached.
- While the steaks are baking, prepare the parsley butter. In a small bowl, combine softened butter with chopped parsley and a pinch of smoked sea salt. Mix until well blended.
- Once cooked, remove the steaks from the oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Serve the steaks topped with a generous dollop of smoked sea salt and parsley butter. Enjoy with your favorite sides!
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a squeeze of lemon over the finished steaks before serving.
