- In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey (or brown sugar), and rice vinegar. Mix well to create the marinade.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly and let them marinate for at least 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp along with the marinade to the skillet.
- Cook the shrimp for about 3-4 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque, stirring frequently. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp.
- Once cooked, remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the shrimp and toss to combine.
- Serve the teriyaki-style shrimp over cooked rice or quinoa. Garnish with chopped green onions for added flavor and color.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinade. You can also substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu for different variations.
