  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 inch Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup Sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • to taste Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, cooking for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice. Stir to coat the shrimp evenly.
  5. If desired, add crushed red pepper flakes for an extra kick. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the shrimp with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve immediately over rice, noodles, or a bed of greens.

Notes

For a variation, add vegetables such as bell peppers or snap peas for added color and nutrition.
