  • 2 tablespoons Sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for serving Cooked rice or noodles

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, sweet chili sauce, and soy sauce. Toss to coat and let marinate for about 15 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side.
  4. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste. Once cooked through, remove the skillet from heat.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the shrimp. Toss gently to combine.
  6. Serve the sweet chili shrimp over cooked rice or noodles, and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the level of sweetness or spice by adding more or less sweet chili sauce. This dish pairs well with a sprinkle of lime juice for added zest.
