Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons Sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • as needed Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
  • as needed Lime wedges, for garnish
  • as needed Sesame seeds, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large bowl
  • Skillet

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, sweet chili sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, lime juice, and soy sauce. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
  2. Marinate the shrimp for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Heat a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
  4. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Avoid overcrowding the pan; you may need to do this in batches.
  5. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the heat and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
  6. Serve the sweet chili shrimp over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with lime wedges and sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the dish by adding more or less sweet chili sauce to suit your taste.
