Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 count Mini Hot Dogs
  • 1 package (8 ounces) Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard Optional, for mouths
  • 2 count Large Black Olives Sliced for eyes
  • 1 tablespoon Ketchup Optional, for blood splatter

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Sharp Knife

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a flat surface. Separate the triangles.
  3. Place a mini hot dog in the center of each crescent roll triangle.
  4. Starting at the wide end, tightly wrap the dough around the hot dog, leaving the pointed end free to resemble a mummy's wrappings.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs onto the prepared baking sheet. Use small slices of black olives to create eyes for your mummies. Add a small line of mustard for a mouth (optional).
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through. For extra spooky effect, add a small dot of ketchup as “blood” after baking.
  7. Let the hot dog mummies cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a fun twist, use different colored mustards or add other small toppings like candy eyeballs!
