Ingredients
  

Dirt Layer
  • 18 ounces Chocolate Sandwich Cookies Finely crushed (about 4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
Pudding Layer
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
  • 2 cups Cold Milk
Garnish
  • 1 package (3 ounces) Gummy Worms
  • 1 cup Crushed Green Cookies (Optional) e.g., Oreos

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Crush chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs. In a large bowl, combine crushed cookies, cocoa powder, milk, and vegetable oil. Mix until crumbly.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until smooth. Let stand for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  3. In individual serving glasses or a trifle bowl, layer pudding and 'dirt' mixture, ending with a layer of 'dirt'.
  4. Press gummy worms into the top layer of 'dirt'.
  5. Optional: Sprinkle crushed green cookies around the edges for 'grass'.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow pudding to set.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate sandwich cookies. You can also add other Halloween candies to the dirt layer for extra fun!
