Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 whole Lime, zest and juice
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 whole Green onions, trimmed
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Large skillet

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Sriracha sauce, honey, lime zest, lime juice, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly. Let the shrimp marinate for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. While the shrimp is marinating, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the green onions and char them for about 2-3 minutes until they become slightly blackened and tender. Remove the green onions from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Once heated, add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fully cooked through.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the charred green onions, mixing well to combine.
  6. Serve the spicy Sriracha lime shrimp garnished with fresh cilantro, if desired, and lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of Sriracha to your desired spice level. This dish pairs well with rice or a fresh salad.
