  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 2 Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque. Flip the shrimp over and pour the honey-soy mixture over them.
  4. Continue to cook the shrimp for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are well coated in the sauce and cooked through.
  5. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the shrimp and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  6. Serve the spicy honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with sliced green onions. Enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or less red pepper flakes. This dish pairs wonderfully with a side of steamed vegetables.
