- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant.
- Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced ginger and garlic, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the chopped tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they soften and break down, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 4-5 minutes.
- Sprinkle the garam masala over the shrimp and mix well. Cook for an additional minute.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
