Method
 

Instructions
  1. Hard Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pan, remove it from heat, and let it sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Cool the Eggs: After the time is up, transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for about 5-10 minutes. This will make peeling easier.
  3. Prepare the Filling: Once the eggs are cool, peel them and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix Ingredients: To the yolks, add the mayonnaise, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, pimento cheese spread, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Mash and Combine: Using a fork, mash the yolk mixture until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Fill the Egg Whites: Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill the egg white halves with the pimento cheese mixture.
  7. Garnish: Sprinkle the filled eggs with paprika and chopped green onions if desired.
  8. Serve: Arrange on a platter and serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
