Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until crumbly. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Stir in the chopped pecans into the maple mixture.
- Pour the pecan filling over the pre-baked crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the oven for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the baking dish before cutting into squares.
- Serve as is, or top with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra treat!
Notes
For a variation, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or using walnuts instead of pecans.
