  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon zest Zest from 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon pepper seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil, chopped
  • for serving Lemon wedges

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque.
  3. Flip the shrimp and add the minced garlic to the pan. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are cooked through and the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add the butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Stir to combine and allow the butter to melt.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and basil.
  6. Serve the shrimp immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For added flavor, feel free to experiment with different herbs or add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat.
