Instructions
- In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Mix well to create the marinade.
- Add the shrimp to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Allow the shrimp to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator for more flavor.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp along with the marinade to the skillet.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side, until they start to turn pink.
- Flip the shrimp and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until fully cooked and opaque. Make sure to stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once the shrimp are cooked, sprinkle sesame seeds over the top and stir to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Remove the skillet from heat. Serve the honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice or noodles, and garnish with sliced green onions.
Notes
For a spicier version, consider adding red pepper flakes to the marinade.
