Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowl

Method

Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, black pepper, olive oil, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using). This will be your marinade.
  2. Place the shrimp in a large bowl and pour the marinade over them. Toss to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated. Let them marinate for about 15-30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp along with the marinade.
  4. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and start to caramelize. Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the shrimp with chopped cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of sesame oil or a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
