- In a small bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, black pepper, olive oil, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using). This will be your marinade.
- Place the shrimp in a large bowl and pour the marinade over them. Toss to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated. Let them marinate for about 15-30 minutes at room temperature.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp along with the marinade.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and start to caramelize. Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked.
- Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the shrimp with chopped cilantro.
- Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of sesame oil or a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
