Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Skewers

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring each shrimp is well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Once the grill is hot, thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes prior to grilling to prevent burning.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your taste. Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
