Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked paprika
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 whole Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 whole Lemon wedges, for serving
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Mixing bowl

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until well combined.
  2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl with the marinade. Toss to ensure all the shrimp are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using skewers, soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. If using skewers, thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp.
  5. Place the shrimp (or skewers) on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them, as they can become tough.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh parsley, if using, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs or a dash of hot sauce in the marinade.
