  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • from 1 lemon Lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • for serving Lemon wedges

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season them with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink.
  5. Sprinkle the smoked paprika over the shrimp. Flip the shrimp over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until they are fully cooked and opaque.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the lemon zest and chopped parsley, mixing well to combine.
  7. Serve the garlic butter shrimp warm with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.

Notes

Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat or serve over rice or pasta for a heartier meal.
