  • 1 pound Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 unit Lemon zest Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes Adjust to taste
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted and bubbly, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque.
  3. Flip the shrimp and add the lemon zest and lemon juice. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and coated in the garlic butter sauce.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for extra flavor.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes to suit your spice preference.
