Instructions
  1. Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  2. Melt the Butter: In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Allow it to bubble gently but not brown.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Cook the Shrimp: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side.
  5. Add Lemon Zest and Juice: Once the shrimp are cooked through, remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, and chopped fresh parsley. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
  6. Season and Serve: Taste the shrimp and add more salt or black pepper if needed. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
