Instructions
  1. Start by preparing your ingredients. Dice the tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Finely chop the red onion and add it to the bowl with the tomatoes.
  3. If you prefer a spicier salsa, finely mince the jalapeño peppers. If you like it milder, remove the seeds and membranes before chopping. Add the minced jalapeños to the mixing bowl.
  4. Mince the garlic and add it to the mixture.
  5. Chop the fresh cilantro and stir it into the bowl.
  6. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture. This adds brightness and flavor.
  7. Season the salsa with salt and pepper to taste. Start with a small amount and adjust according to your preference.
  8. Gently mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  9. Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. For best results, refrigerate for an hour before serving.
  10. Serve with tortilla chips, on tacos, or as a topping for grilled meats. Enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, try adding diced mango or pineapple for a fruity salsa variation.
