Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 Ripe Peaches peeled and diced
  • 0.5 cup Red Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Jalapeño Pepper seeded and minced (optional)
  • 0.5 cup Cilantro chopped
  • 0.25 cup Lime Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or agave nectar (adjust to taste)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Small Bowl
  • Whisk

Method

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, gently combine the diced peaches, red onion, jalapeño (if using), and cilantro.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey (or agave), salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the lime juice mixture over the peach mixture and stir gently to combine.
  4. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more lime juice for tartness or more honey for sweetness.
  5. Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. This step is optional but recommended.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, grilled chicken or fish, or as a topping for tacos or burritos.

Notes

For a spicier salsa, use more jalapeño or add a pinch of cayenne pepper. You can also add other fruits like mango or pineapple for extra flavor.
