Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- Whisk together flour and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the brown sugar. Gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough just comes together. Do not overmix.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir in the pecan halves. Pour the pecan filling evenly over the crust.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is lightly golden brown.
- Let cool completely in the pan before lifting out using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
For a richer flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the filling. Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
