Instructions
  1. Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a large bowl. Let stand 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add egg, melted butter, and salt; whisk to combine. Gradually add flour, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if needed.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-1 1/2 hours, or until doubled.
  5. While dough rises, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Punch down dough, roll into a 12x18 inch rectangle, and spread filling evenly over the dough.
  7. Roll up tightly, slice into 12 rolls, place in a greased 9x13 inch pan, cover, and let rise 30-45 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the icing. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

For extra chocolate flavor, add chocolate chips to the filling. You can also use different types of milk for the icing, such as almond milk or oat milk, to adjust the sweetness and texture.
