  • 1 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract optional, for enhanced flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt optional, to balance sweetness

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • 8x8 inch baking dish
  • Whisk or spatula
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Instructions
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and softened butter.
  3. Stir constantly until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar, vanilla extract (if using), and salt (if using) until well combined.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For a richer fudge, use dark chocolate chips. You can also add chopped nuts, pretzels, or other mix-ins to customize the flavor.
