Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Continue to stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve the creamy garlic shrimp over cooked pasta or rice.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. You can also add vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for added flavor and nutrition.
