  • 1 Lemon, zested and juiced

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant but not browned.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
  5. Serve the creamy garlic butter shrimp over cooked pasta or rice, garnished with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. You can also add vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes for added flavor and nutrition.
