- In a large jar or pitcher, add 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee.
- Pour in 4 cups of cold water, ensuring all coffee grounds are saturated.
- Gently stir the mixture to combine, ensuring even extraction.
- Cover the jar or pitcher with a lid or plastic wrap and steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours.
- After steeping, strain the coffee concentrate through a fine-mesh sieve or coffee filter into a clean container. Discard the coffee grounds.
- To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the cold brew coffee concentrate over the ice. Dilute with water, milk, or cream to taste. Add sweetener if desired.
- Store any leftover cold brew concentrate in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
