  • 8 ounces Fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini) Small size
  • 8 leaves Fresh basil leaves Large leaves can be halved
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper or to taste
  • 8-10 Wooden skewers Soak in water for 30 minutes before use

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Thread one cherry tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf onto each skewer. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  3. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil.
  5. Drizzle the balsamic glaze mixture evenly over the Caprese skewers.
  6. Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  7. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture, or chill for later.

Notes

For a more visually appealing presentation, alternate the order of ingredients on the skewers (e.g., mozzarella, tomato, basil). You can also add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
