- Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess moisture.
- Tear the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.
- Add the croutons to the bowl with the lettuce.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the lettuce and croutons.
- Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad. Start with 1/4 cup and add more if you prefer a creamier texture.
- Toss the salad gently using salad tongs or your hands until all ingredients are well combined and coated with the dressing.
- Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste. You can also add more Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Serve the salad with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
- Enjoy your Caesar salad immediately while the croutons are still crunchy!
Notes
For a vegetarian version, ensure the Caesar dressing does not contain anchovies.
