- In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, add the cinnamon stick (or ground cinnamon) to the water.
- If using a tea bag, add it to the boiling water at this time.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- After simmering, remove the saucepan from heat. If you used a cinnamon stick, remove it. If you used ground cinnamon, you may want to strain the tea to remove the sediment.
- Stir in honey to taste and add lemon juice if desired.
- Pour the tea into a cup and enjoy it warm.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the sweetness with honey and add lemon for a refreshing twist.
