Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 teaspoons Honey to taste
  • 1-2 teaspoons Lemon Juice optional
  • 1 Tea Bag black or herbal tea, optional

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Strainer

Method

Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, add the cinnamon stick (or ground cinnamon) to the water.
  3. If using a tea bag, add it to the boiling water at this time.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  5. After simmering, remove the saucepan from heat. If you used a cinnamon stick, remove it. If you used ground cinnamon, you may want to strain the tea to remove the sediment.
  6. Stir in honey to taste and add lemon juice if desired.
  7. Pour the tea into a cup and enjoy it warm.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the sweetness with honey and add lemon for a refreshing twist.
