- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, lime zest, crushed red pepper flakes, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until the shrimp are well coated with the marinade.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the shrimp marinate for at least 20 minutes at room temperature or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Remove the shrimp from the heat and transfer to a serving platter.
- Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and additional lime wedges if desired.
- Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
