  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • for serving Lemon wedges

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly with the spices.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque. Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully cooked through.
  4. Once the shrimp are cooked, remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice, mixing well to combine all flavors.
  5. Serve the Cajun shrimp immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top. Enjoy your flavorful dish!

Notes

For a spicier dish, increase the cayenne pepper. This dish pairs well with rice or crusty bread.
