Instructions
- Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. This helps to ensure they sear nicely when cooked.
- In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Allow it to bubble gently but avoid browning.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque, then flip them over.
- Sprinkle the red chili flakes over the shrimp and continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked through.
- Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the shrimp. Toss everything together to combine the flavors.
- Finish with freshly chopped parsley, mixing it in gently.
- Serve immediately, either on its own or over a bed of rice or pasta to soak up the delicious sauce.
Notes
For a spicier dish, increase the amount of red chili flakes. This dish pairs wonderfully with a side of crusty bread or a fresh salad.
