- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss until the shrimp are well coated.
- In a separate bowl, mix the fresh breadcrumbs, remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, chopped parsley, chopped basil, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir until the breadcrumbs are evenly mixed with the herbs and oil.
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in a baking dish. Evenly distribute the breadcrumb mixture over the shrimp, pressing it down gently to adhere.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque, and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
Feel free to add other herbs of your choice or adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer red pepper flakes.
