  • 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • to taste Salt

  • 4 Whole Wheat Burger Buns
  • Lettuce Leaves For serving
  • Tomato Slices For serving
  • Cheese Slices (optional) For topping

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, mashed avocado, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  4. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or skillet to prevent sticking.
  5. Cook the chicken patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked through (the internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  6. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
  7. Toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  8. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce and tomato slices.
  9. Add the top half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding your favorite sauce or dressing to the assembled burger.
