Main Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 ounces) Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 0.25 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • As needed Candy corn For feathers
  • As needed Mini marshmallows For wattles
  • As needed Pretzel sticks For legs
  • As needed Small round candies For eyes

Equipment

  • Food processor or zip-top bag
  • Rolling pin
  • Medium bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Instructions
  1. Finely crush Oreo cookies using a food processor or rolling pin in a zip-top bag. Aim for a fine crumb consistency.
  2. Melt chocolate chips (you can do this in the microwave or double boiler).
  3. In a medium bowl, combine crushed Oreos, melted chocolate, softened butter, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms. Add a teaspoon of milk at a time if the mixture is too dry.
  4. Roll 1 tablespoon portions of dough into oval shapes for turkey bodies. Gently shape into elongated ovals.
  5. Attach candy corn to the back of each turkey body for feathers, overlapping slightly.
  6. Make small balls of dough for heads and attach to the narrower end of the bodies. Attach two mini marshmallows for wattles and small candies for eyes.
  7. Insert two pretzel sticks into the bottom of each body for legs.
  8. Chill on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes to firm up (optional).

Notes

For extra flavor, use different types of chocolate chips or add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough. Get creative with your decorations! You can use different colored candies or sprinkles.
