  • 1 pound Fresh Strawberries Select large, uniformly shaped strawberries for Santa bodies.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Miniature Chocolate Chips
  • 12-15 Small Pretzel Sticks For Santa's mouths

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. Select the largest strawberries for Santa bodies. Cut off the green tops, leaving about 1/4 inch of green stem attached.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer or a whisk until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until well combined and fluffy.
  3. Spoon a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture onto each strawberry, shaping it into a round Santa belly.
  4. Attach two miniature chocolate chips for eyes.
  5. Break a small pretzel stick in half, and use a small piece for the Santa's mouth.
  6. For best results, refrigerate the Strawberry Santas for at least 30 minutes before serving. They are also delicious served immediately!

Notes

For a festive touch, consider adding a small red candy melt dot to the cream cheese belly as a belt buckle. You can also use different types of candy for the eyes and mouth. Leftover cream cheese mixture can be enjoyed as a delicious dip with graham crackers or fruit.
