  • 1 lb Breakfast Sausage Mild or hot, your preference. Cooked and crumbled.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Or your favorite cheese. Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack are also great choices.
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions Finely chopped, for garnish (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika For garnish (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt To taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper To taste

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Mix until well combined and the cream cheese is fully incorporated.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl.
  6. Garnish with finely chopped green onions and a sprinkle of paprika, if desired.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature with your favorite crackers, tortilla chips, or vegetables.

Notes

For a spicier dip, use hot breakfast sausage. You can also experiment with different cheeses, such as pepper jack or Monterey Jack. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
